Who are we?

Get Involved

We are looking for unique people from the widest range of backgrounds to support Oriel Science. Our aim is to promote science learning for all; to take visitors on a journey through a specific scientific theme and to ignite their curiosity to explore that theme, and how its discoveries impacts their daily lives. Can you help us? Those with an interest in science, and something to share, can apply to join our brain-trust of ‘Merlins’. The name Merlin derives from the Welsh bard Myrddin Wyllt known as the ‘inspired shouter’. Do you have something inspired to shout about? Each exhibition will be supported by our brain-trust of Merlins. Science students can apply to become an Oriel Science Ambassador. Ambassadors guide visitors to our exhibitions and support our workshop programme.
