FAQ - Funding
1. How is Oriel Science funded?
Oriel Science was launched in 2016 as a Swansea University project. Consequently, Swansea University has contributed around half of Oriel Science’s costs, with significant funding from the UK’s Research Councils, Welsh Government and Swansea Council. In August 2024, Oriel Science was spun-out into an independent charity.
As a newly established charity, we rely on your support to keep science accessible to all. Donations help us bring STEAMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths and Medicine) education to the community and inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators. 2. Can I donate to Oriel Science?
Yes, Oriel Science relies on grants and donations, so every contribution is vital to keeping our doors open.
If you would like to help us continue achieving this, please donate using our on-site card-only donation point located at our Swansea city centre venue or by following this link.
